Position: Practice manager and Head of Reception

I have worked as a Veterinary Receptionist since 2008 and have been working here at Terrington Vets since 2011, I love all animals but especially dogs and I have aquired an assortment of them since I have been working here. Since October 2015 I have been the Practice Administrator and even though it is totally different from being on reception I am enjoying the challenge and because I have less contact with the animals it may stop me from taking home any more waifs and strays.

At home I have 4 grandaughters that keep me busy and if I do get any spare time I enjoy walking (usually with the dogs) and socialising with friends.

I have worked in the nursing industry all my working life from a trainee teenager for nearly a decade at my last practice and at this new practice since it opened. I have always been interested in working with animals and been involved in their care having personally kept a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, horses, ducks, parrots and most recently a snake.

I have always wanted to be a veterinary nurse and to pursue this as a career, however since having children, my priorities have changed and I can now not do nursing full time so have to be content with a more part time role mainly in reception, although I get my hands dirty with full on nursing duties from time to time. I have not ruled out getting back to the academic side of studying to become a qualified nurse in the future but for now this strikes a nice balance.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and travelling.

Position: Part time Receptionist

Having only recently joined the reception team at Terrington vets I still have much to learn about all the varied tasks that a veterinary receptionist undertakes. I am thoroughly enjoying learning new things each day about veterinary care and the practice procedures to deal with the day to day events. It's an exciting and varied job with no two days being the same!

I've lived in the Kings Lynn area for most of my life and at the present time I am busy raising two twin daughters. However in my spare time I still enjoy cycling, traveling, socialising and spending time with my family and friends.

I have been at Terrington Veterinary Centre as a receptionist for almost two years having worked in many customer service based roles. My aims are to make our clients feel at ease and welcome at our practice - and to help both owners and animals in any way I can.

Having six dogs of my own, I understand our clients concerns for their pets and I hope that working with our team I can alleviate some of the worry and offer the best advice at all times.

After having a long career in travel I moved to the area over ten years ago to realise my ambition of owning my own Boarding Kennels and Cattery. I acquired an Advanced Diploma in Canine and Feline Care and I also own six Bernese Mountain Dogs and a French Bulldog crossbreed, so there is little I haven’t experienced with dogs (and cats) over the years. I trust that my understanding of pets and their owners shows in my role as Senior Receptionist-my aim being to make all our clients feel welcome, offer the best information to each individual pet owner and to make any visits to us as smooth and stress free as possible. Many of our clients have become friends and I hope this is a reflection of the service they receive

I have been in the Veterinary profession for over 9 years as a Receptionist. I have 2 cats Reo and Merlin and I now have a French Bulldog called Eric, over the years I have had Guinea Pigs too. My main loves are horses and my pets. I find it great working at the vets as I get to see young and new pets becoming much loved members of their families.

This is my very time working in a Veterinary Practice as a receptionist. I have previously worked in a vaccination clinic for 4 years.

I have a love for all animals and have always been interested in working with them and one day I would like to train to be a Veterinary Nurse.

I am Nala and I am in charge of keeping all of the boys in order. I was hand reared also and everybody thought I was never going to grow! but I am fine now and looking forward to starting agility lessons soon because I can jump really high.

I am the newest member of the Staff Support team here at Terrington and I am a Bedlington Terrier. I am being trained by Patton and even though he despairs of me at times I think I am making good progress and I hope I will become a Staff Support Manager too one day.

My name is Patton and I have been at the practice since I was adopted by Clare. I was very poorly and had to have a major operation but I am much better now and love coming into work. If you see me ask for a high five as I am told I am very cute.

Position: Head of Security

I have been here at the vets since I was a few hours old, I was born with a cleft palate and other health issues. Clare the Head Nurse hand reared me and I became a firm favourite with all the staff here so I now stay here every day (within reach of the oxygen as I have a tendency to pass out if I get stressed) and I go home with Sherrie at nights and weekends. I take my role as Head of Security very seriously and will bark if necessary as long as it’s not nap time.
